A Design-Build interior renovation and Air Handler Unit 114 (AHU) replacement converting a prenatal clinic into a Women’s Observation Unit. The project included a change in license and increased the current bed count from 16 to 20 beds adding required support services so it can be longer than 23:59 hours use each day.

The space is in an HCAi-1 building which required an Alternate Means of Compliance (AMC) for the remodel of the existing six group-beds, existing patient room that were non-code compliant, a new nurse station, accessible patient toilet, shower, and upgraded mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire alarm, fire protection system, medical gases, access control, and nurse call systems were all included.
