The six (6) compounding project remodels were in the existing OSHPD-1 Pharmacy to provide spaces compliant with USP-797 and USP-800 regulations for sterile Hazardous Drug and Sterile Non-Hazardous drug compounding, processing, and storage. The pharmacy renovations are in different hospitals in Southern California and range in size from 763 to 812 SF and from $850k to $1.4M. These projects are very complex as each of them was to be completed in three separate phases, each phase was approved by OSHPD/CDPH and BOP. The projects were phased to allow three (3) new rooms to be built within the existing Pharmacy: an ante room, non-HD, and HD Buffer room with plumbing and electrical systems upgrades for compliance with USP 797, and mechanical upgrades.

An addition to the Phase III of the project was a Sterile Hazardous Drug (HD) hood buffer room, accessible staff toilet rooms upgrade, and addition of an external dedicated venting for the HD hood.

West Anaheim Medical Center | USP 797/800 Pharmacy Renovation | Anaheim, CA
USP 797/800 Pharmacy renovation, Phase III with complexed 3-phased OSHPD/CDPH and BOP approved project. A new stand-alone HVAC system was installed on the roof above the pharmacy to support the new spaces, including one (1) new AAON heat-up and two (2) new exhaust fans. Once the new permanent compounding rooms were completed and licensed, the temporary compounding room was repurposed into a workspace.
